Our Plumbing Certification Program is a flexible training course available in 12 weeks full-time or 20 weeks part-time, designed to prepare aspiring plumbers for immediate entry into the industry. The program covers plumbing systems and installations, including pipe fitting, layouts, valve repairs, water supply, and drainage systems. Participants gain skills in blueprint reading, system design, material planning, and compliance with plumbing codes and OSHA safety standards. Hands-on labs provide practical experience in fixture assembly and pressure testing, while licensing preparation includes timed exams and troubleshooting exercises. Graduates earn an OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Safety Card and are fully prepared to obtain their Journeyman Plumbing License (Michigan LARA), launching their careers as licensed professionals.

● Day 3: Shared OSHA 30 Class.
● Day 4: Blueprint reading for plumbing, focusing on understanding water supply,
drainage, and venting layouts in residential and commercial projects. - Week 3
● Day 1-2: Introduction to hand tools and power tools used in plumbing (pipe wrenches,
cutters, threading machines, etc.). Emphasis on tool safety and maintenance.

● Day 4: OSHA 30 training: Focus on hazard recognition, confined space entry, and safety
precautions specific to plumbing. - Week 4
● Day 1-2: Types of pipes (PVC, copper, galvanized, PEX) and their applications. Hands-
on practice with cutting, threading, and joining pipes.
● Day 3: Shared OSHA 30 Class.
● Day 4: Introduction to soldering and brazing techniques for joining copper pipes, with a
focus on safety and precision. - Week 5
● Day 1-2: Installation of water supply systems, including proper placement and
connection of pipes, fittings, and valves. Emphasis on maintaining water pressure and
avoiding leaks.
● Day 3: Shared OSHA 30 Class.
● Day 4: Hands-on practice with installing faucets, sinks, and other plumbing fixtures. - Week 6
● Day 1-2: Introduction to drainage systems, including installation of drainpipes, traps, and
vent pipes. Understanding slope requirements for effective drainage.
