This mandatory refresher course is designed to re-train and re-certify currently accredited Asbestos Inspectors. The curriculum focuses on a review of key inspection procedures, recent regulatory updates, and emerging health and safety information. Participants will refresh their knowledge of how to determine the presence, location, and quantity of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in buildings, including hands-on practice with sampling techniques and the development of inspection reports. The course emphasizes the current standards and regulations set forth by the EPA, OSHA, and relevant state agencies.
Curriculum:
Understand the AutoCAD interface, file management, and workspace organization.
Create, modify, and annotate 2D drawings using core AutoCAD commands.
Utilize precision drafting tools such as object snaps, polar tracking, and coordinates.
Apply layers, line types, and text styles for professional drafting standards.
Develop plotting and printing setups, layouts, and title blocks.
Introduce 3D modeling concepts and visualization tools for design representation.
Outcome:
- Completed set of 2D drawings demonstrating use of core tools.
- Complete residential floor plan with annotations and dimensions.
- Elevation and section sheets ready for plotting.
- Final plotted drawing set formatted for submission.
